COMES TO CARPENTER THEATRE

(Richmond, VA – November 12, 2012) Jim Gaffigan and The White Bread Tour is coming to Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage, Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7pm. Gaffigan has proven himself a major talent beloved to a wide range of audiences, achieving accolades and awards for his stand-up comedy, acting, and writing.

Tickets are $39.75 and $49.75 (plus applicable fees) and go on sale Friday, November 16, 2012 at noon at CenterStage Box Office, ETIX.com and charge-by-phone at 800-514-3849. Box office hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. ADA seating tickets are also available.

His clever, quiet style has made him one of the top five most successful touring comedians in the country today and his CDs and DVDs have reached platinum sales. Gaffigan has had an unprecedented number of appearances on late night’s “Letterman" and “Conan." His writing and voice work on the animated series “Pale Force” for Conan led to nominations for both a Broadband Emmy and a Webby Award.

Gaffigan has had breakout guest appearances on many comedies and dramas ranging from HBO's cult hits "Flight of the Concords" and "Bored to Death" to dramatic roles in all three versions of "Law & Order".

In recent years, Gaffigan has also become a mainstay on the big screen with memorable roles in "Going the Distance", "Away We Go" and "It's Kind of a Funny Story." Gaffigan will next be seen alongside Jennifer Connolly, Ed Harris, Pierce Bronson, and Greg Kinnear in the highly anticipated film "Salvation Boulevard” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011.

Further broadening his career, Gaffigan stars in his first Broadway production, “That Championship Season”. As part of the highly acclaimed play, Gaffigan appears in the ensemble alongside Chris Noth, Brian Cox, Jason Patric, and Kiefer Sutherland. The play premiered on March 6 and runs through May 29, 2011.

In the Fall of 2011, Gaffigan sold a sitcom that he will write and star in for the NBC network. He will be starting 2012 off with a 30 city national tour called Jim Gaffigan: The America Tour sponsored by Comedy Central.
