Theater Review: 'The Winter's Tale'
It felt like a first. Opening night at CenterStage, Rhythm Hall bustling with a glittery crowd, patrons rushing to the big concert hall and a fully realized, sophisticated production in the Gottwald Playhouse. It felt like a big city with an admirable performing-arts center.
And the city-worthy play? Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale," co-produced by Richmond Shakespeare and Henley Street Theatre Company, under the sharply intelligent direction of Henley's James Ricks.
